The help you need when you need it most

Sometimes, finances don’t stretch as far as you need them to. If you’re unable to meet basic living expenses such as groceries, transport, rent or utility bills, RSL Queensland may be able to help cover the costs.

If you need more in-depth support – for example, emergency accommodation or ongoing assistance – we can work with you to create a comprehensive plan tailored to your needs. We may also connect you with other service providers to ensure you receive as much support as possible.

    Eligibility criteria

RSL Queensland’s emergency financial assistance is available to ex-serving ADF members who have completed at least one day of continuous full-time service, their partners, and Allied service veterans (subject to additional criteria) who are also:

    • experiencing urgent financial hardship and unable to meet basic living expenses

    • residents of Queensland or (subject to additional criteria) the Northern Territory.
